Northwater and Hydrata have partnered together to take watershed planning and management into the 21st century. The demo system is currently online and was developed for the Lake Springfield watershed in Illinois. It allows users to explore watershed datasets and map layers that were compiled for the watershed plan. The water quality model output can be visualized to assist in prioritizing watershed actions, and the Best Management Practice (BMP) tool allows managers to estimate pollutant load reductions from a full range of practices anywhere in the watershed. Lastly, the web app allows for watershed planners and managers to keep track of BMPs and track progress towards goals in real-time.
