Health Infrastructure Program, Groundwater Exploration

Project Description

">

Northwater supported AECOM and USAID in sourcing groundwater supplies for proposed health clinics in the Artibonite Department of Haiti as part of the Haiti Health Infrastructure Program (HHIP).  The team was commissioned to investigate challenging sites where previous well drilling efforts were unsuccessful.

Geological mapping and geophysical surveys were performed to characterize the hydrogeological setting and guide groundwater exploration programs.  Two geophysical technologies were applied to map the subsurface conditions and identify specific drilling locations and target depths (Electrical Resistivity Tomography and Electromagnetic CSAMT/MT).

Designing and constructing major infrastructure projects around the world, we have some of the world’s best experts at our firm, when we can’t find water, [Northwater] is my first phone call.
