Hospital Groundwater Supply Feasibility Study

Project Description

">

Performed a water supply feasibility study for a hospital in Milot, Haiti. A review of water supply options was performed which resulted in a detailed analysis of the hydrogeology of the area to identify the aquifers available to the hospital. The study determined that a deeper aquifer located in Cretaceous crystalline igneous rock would provide the most sustainable and viable long-term water source. A field reconnaissance was performed to site well drilling locations; estimate drilling depths and make operational recommendations for the hospital’s water system. Recommendations were also made for treatment systems and other design-related factors of the hospital’s water system.
