Ti Bouk-Le Borgne Water Supply Feasibility Study

Project Description

Performed a field reconnaissance study to investigate the existing potable water conditions in the remote and rugged Ti Bouk-Le Borgne area west of Cap Haitian. Study included characterization of the water sources and an evaluation of an existing distribution system to provide recommendations and cost estimates for improvements and enhancements. Our team also mapped the hydrogeology of the area to site well drilling locations that could potentially be used the supplement the existing water system capacity. We also conducted interviews with the community and the water system operators in order to design a CAEPA management-training program. Such a program would enhance the sustainability of the community water system and significantly reduce the constant downtime of the system due to insufficient funds and supplies.
